Biography
Riccardo Rossi's bartending journey began in London in 2008, right after earning his degree in Communication. Over the next five years, he honed his craft in various bars, quickly rising to management roles.
In 2013, Riccardo returned to Rome and joined Freni e Frizioni, one of the city’s most iconic bars. By 2016, he had not only become the bar manager but also a business partner. His leadership has seen the company expand to include two additional venues: La Punta Expendio de Agave, a Mexican bar and restaurant launched in 2016 in collaboration with the Jerry Thomas Project, and Slap - Pizza Cocktail Club, which opened in January 2022, known for its innovative cocktails on tap and top-quality pizza.
Riccardo’s influence extends far beyond Rome. He has built strong connections with bartenders worldwide, elevating Freni e Frizioni's international reputation. His expertise has earned him invitations to guest bartend and speak at seminars globally. The bar has been featured in prestigious industry rankings, including the 50 Best Bars, Tales of the Cocktail, and Top 500 Bars.
Since his first visit to Peru in 2017, Riccardo has developed a deep passion for Pisco, becoming Italy’s leading expert on the spirit. His travels to Peru now count three.
While Riccardo loves to explore new destinations, his heart belongs to his English bulldog, Fonzie. And if you want to win him over, an Americano, Gin Tonic, or Paloma will do the trick.
